The story behind Rivazur Cakes is that of traditional French bakers that dates back to its beginnings in 1953 in Houilles, just outside Paris.

In 1964, the business was taken over by Georges Laporte, who trained under the illustrious French pastry chef Gaston Lenôtre. Rivazur Cakes became known for its fruit cakes and went from strength to strength.

Since 2006, Rivazur Cakes has been headed by

Jean-Philippe Pasquier, a third-generation baker and pastry chef who has taken our patisserie prowess to new heights!

We have been based near Angers, in the Loire Valley, since 1981. Our region is famous around the world for its castles and wines, but here in France it is known for its greenery and farming – something we are proud to be a part of.

We take great pleasure in helping to fly the flag for the Anjou and Pays de la Loire region that we call home.
